![]() Does anybody have tips on training that will help me work on my weaknesses and achieve my dream? ![]() I feel like with my running ability I should be going faster through the trails in the races but I feel like I'm slowing down more by the other obstacles than the other athletes around me. ![]() This brute strength is still a weakness of mine but I am improving it slowly. I haven't fallen on any of the obstacles since an extremely cold and muddy race in charleston last May and am strong enough to get all of the pure strength obstacles done. I usually pass most people on the ascents. I've been running on a mountain near my house every week and I've noticed big improvements in that area. I know I still have to get faster but I can run low 17s in a 5K. Because of this I already have a good head start on my running ability. I am 20 years old and have recently switched from XC and track to spartan. I have been a consistent podium winner at my last few races in the 18-24 age group division. While I know this is a long shot I think it is within the realm of possibility. Spartan up!
